Dear Mom
As a "wee babe,"
I was unaware of
Life's Journey, True Love and the
Pursuit of Happiness.
As an adult with my own--
"wee babe" --Meredith,
I know that:
"With God All Things are Possible,"
Matthew 19:26.
My celebration of Life's Journey,
True Love, and the
Pursuit of Happiness,
Has been met with trials and tribulations,
And, so has yours.
But, in the end--
I have found that within Life's Journey,
There are true love and happiness.
One must Aim Sky High,
To reach one's ultimate goals in life.
I have!!!
And, the end result is astonishing...
I have always known that--
From the day I was born,
'til now,
From my head to my toes,
You will forever love me,
As I do you.
And, as you long for my visit,
Remember this: I will forever love you--
Because we've made memories,
Just you and me,

Unhonest Love
I can?t seem to find you in my heart.
You're just not there,
I can?t sit here and be unpleased
Thinking about why I have you here.
You say you love me,
But my heart pushes you away
I think I love you, but it's not the truth
Everyday in my heart you seem to fade.
I?m trying to stay true to myself
I hope you can see
I can?t always listen to your emotions
And be as you want me to be.
I can?t help it but to love you

First boy who trapped me in their spell

Mother's Hands
In this restless realm can there be any greater demands,
Than those entrusted to a Mother's affectionate hands?
Upon her, the destiny of humankind certainly depends,
As her love and tenderness, all adversity transcends.
From the moment of birth and upon hearing that lusty squall,
Tender hands caress her precious little one so very small.
Caring hands that are just beginning a life of devotion,
Praising the Creator with a heart filled with emotion!
Steadying hands will guide the tentative steps of little feet;
Loving hands will prepare nutritious foods to eat;
Healing hands will tend each bruised elbow and knee;
Happy hands will high-five when sharing moments of glee!
Guiding hands will help to avoid life's treacherous shoals;
Teaching hands will assist to ever strive for noble goals;
Praying hands will keep the focus on worthy things above;
Molding hands will develop character, integrity and love.
When Mother has reached the end of her earthly quest,
And her time-worn hands are gently crossed upon her breast,
God will joyfully hold her hands in His own tender palms,
Saying, "Welcome home dear, you were the greatest of Moms!"

Growing Old Together
They wed when he was twenty-one, she was seventeen;
Fate, he knew, destined her to be his lifelong queen.
It seemed only yesterday since their first tender kiss;
Now the aged couple were nigh sixty years of wedded bliss.
They shared many peaks and valleys throughout the years;
Lean times, laughter, a sprinkling of sorrow and tears,
But their love and faith e'er conquered all such things;
Eternal love they vowed, when exchanging wedding rings.
E'en tho' her hair has turned from gold to silvery gray,
He tells her she is more beautiful with each passing day.
No sweeter sound to him could she e'er evince,
Than to hear her call him still her charming prince.
Each dawn when she awakes from her sweet repose,
He places in her hands an exquisite yellow rose,
Kisses her cheek, saying, "I'll always love you dear";
She responds with sweet talk he always loves to hear!
They hold the others' hand as they take their daily stroll,
But they walk a bit slower; alas, time doth take its toll.
'Tis evident that they still enjoy that youthful thrill,
That only a lifetime of love and devotion can instill!

The Sounds of Summer
Summer is a wonderful time of the year
It makes people ecstatic and brimming with cheer
When we rise in the morning with the sun shining so bright
We listen to the birdies melodies with so much delight
The trees are so attractive amid their leaves so green
While the grass obtained its color from its long winter dream
The flowers are multi-colored of red, white, yellow, pink green and blue
That radiates in various aromas for me or for you
The squirrels are in a frenzy rousting about
While listening to the children as they frolic and shout
There?s swimming and hunting and fishing galore
While the beachcombers are at leisure on the dry sunny shore
The fish are forming schools in the deep blue sea
Avoiding the obstacles they encounter from you or from me
The wildlife are enjoying their freedom at bay
In hopes that no predators will stand in their way
The butterflies are dancing their way through the air
As the warm gentle breeze blows softly through our hair
The stars are brightly shining on the serene summer night
While the campfires are crackling with the moon oh! So! Bright
Summer is a season to cherish its fantastic! Its divine
Creating a world without summer simply wasn?t God?s design.

Dad I Love You, too
One day a father had a fight
With his youngest son
They fought and fought, back and forth
But neither of them won
And so the little boy stormed off
To his bedroom up the stair
"I hate him, oh, so very much
Let him see that I don't care"
And so he thought he'd leave note
Yes, that is what he'd do
He left it on the bottom step
And put 'Daddy, I do hate you'
And so he waited, some time passed
And another note lay there
This time it was from Dad to son
And said 'I love you and I care'
"Huh, he won't win me like that
I'll leave another on the stair
And I will write to my horrid Dad"
'I still hate you and don't care'
But the Dad was a kind and patient man
And he knew just what to do
He left another little note
Simply saying 'I love you'
The boy read it and then he said
"I know what I must do"
And so he wrote just one last note
And put 'Dad, I love you too'

Today I stand before you,

A Mother's Love
A mother's love is a heart filled with joy
just from giving her child a new toy
watching her child play
smiling at the things they say
praising the pictures they draw
and hanging them on the wall.
A mother's love to her child she will teach
with hugs when their arms to her reach
it can easily be traced
by the smiles on their face
magic in their hearts will flow
from it, mother and child will grow.
A mother's love can be shared with anger
but to patience it is no stranger
she will take it all in stride
put everything else aside
close her eyes and count to ten
for on her this glorious child does depend.
